"JOB" Hunting is a Challenge in Any Economy but "NOW"
(9/10/2009) with the help of the library's new on-line job resource called: "JobNow", the hunt has become more interactive and engaging. "JobNow" provides you with the tools to help you get a job. There’s a list of free internet resources for job seekers even a personality and career assessment program. The resume builder not only provides resume templates and resources but also a "JobNow" expert who will give you an analysis of your resume within 24 hours! The Interview Coach helps you brush up on interviewing skills, offering tips for your interview and even a “mock interview” for fine-tuning your abilities. The on-line coach will provide constructive feedback along with interviewing tips as many times as you log in with your New Haven Public Library card!
Try out "JobNow" by following the information link below. "JobNow" is one of the several job related services the library has to offer. There are the all-day visits of the Connecticut Labor Department’s Career Express Bus that gives job seekers the chance to jump aboard the bus in their neighborhood in order to receive one-on-one job seeking assistance from Labor Department representatives.
